Police ID Husband, Wife Found Dead Inside Lake Ronkonkoma Home

UPDATE: Police have identified the two people as Steven Kuper, 69, and his wife, Susan Kuper, 56. They were both found dead in the basement with gunshot wounds.

Police have not yet determined if the incident is a murder-suicide or a double suicide.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – Two people were found dead inside their Lake Ronkonkoma home Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.

A 911 call to check on the welfare of residents at 105 Patchogue-Holbrook Road came in at 3:09 p.m. The home is located right next to Hiawatha Elementary School.

Two residents, a male and a female, were found dead. Detectives believe at least of one them took their own life. Police are investigating whether the incident is a murder-suicide or a double suicide.
