On Saturday at about 4:45 p.m., the Lakeland Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and 3rd Street Street in Ronkonkoma.
Upon arrival, first responders advised incoming units that the accident involved two cars and the incident would require multiple ambulances due to three injured occupants.
Neighbors nearby commented that the intersection was ”common area for auto accidents.” Lakeland ambulances transported three people Stony Brook University Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Police said no criminality is suspected in the accident.
