$325 In Cigarettes Swiped From BP Gas In Lake Ronkonkoma: Police

A man broke a window and went inside the Portion Road business on Feb. 28 at 3:17 a.m., then left in a red sedan, police said.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police are reaching out to the public for help in finding the burglar who broke into a Lake Ronkonkoma gas station and swiped $325 in cigarettes last month.

A man broke a window and went inside BP gas station on Portion Road on Feb. 28 at 3:17 a.m. and swiped the cigarettes and then left in a sedan, police said.

Suffolk’s Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the burglary to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, or by using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips.
