5 Hurt, 2 Seriously, In Lake Grove Crash
BREAKING: A car occupied by four people ended up wrapped around a tree Tuesday afternoon.
LAKE GROVE, NY – Five people were injured, two seriously, in a two-car crash in front of the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, 22-year-old Bradford Nandoo was driving a 2011 Mitsubishi west on Middle Country Road when he sideswiped a 2002 Subaru, lost control and struck a tree at the intersection of Moriches Road at about 4:40 p.m.

Nandoo, of Farmingville, and a backseat passenger, Taylor Hammel, 19, of Coram, suffered serious injuries. Two other passengers in the Mitsubishi suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Subaru, 43-year-old Edward LaRosa, of Coram, also suffered minor injuries. All five were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital.
