6 Hurt In Separate Crashes Across Brookhaven Town Wednesday Night: Police

All of the people, including four women and two men, one a motorcyclist, were taken to local hospitals, Suffolk police say.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — First responders in Brookhaven Town had a busy couple of hours on Wednesday night, responding to at least three crashes in which six people were hurt, Suffolk police said.

In the first crash at around 6:20 p.m., two women from East Patchogue were hurt when their Acuras collided in front of a location on Barton Avenue in North Patchogue, according to police.

The women were taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

In the second crash, two people, including a motorcyclist, were hurt in Selden at around 8:30 p.m., according to police.

A 33-year-old Farmingville man was riding a motorcycle, northbound on North Evergreen Drive, when it collided with a 2013 Honda sedan driven by a 22-year-old Selden woman, as she was traveling eastbound on Pine Street at the intersection at 8:33 p.m., police said.

The man and the woman were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

In the third crash, a 32-year-old Shirley man was driving a 2005 Mercedes-Benz sedan, northbound on Mastic Road in Mastic, when the vehicle collided with an eastbound 2025 VW sedan driven by a 22-year-old Medford woman at the intersection at around 8:30 p.m., police said.

Both were taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
