7-Eleven Employee Hit As 2 Bolt With Merchandise From Store In Holtsville: Police

It happened just before 1 p.m. on Friday, Suffolk police say.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — An employee from 7-Eleven in Holtsville was hit by one of two people who swiped items from the store on Friday night, Suffolk police said.

Two employees were working behind the counter of the Waverly Avenue store when the two people grabbed items and bolted from the store just before 1 p.m., according to police.

One of the workers pursued the duo, but was struck by one of them, police said, adding that the duo then ran away from the store.

It's not clear if the employee was taken to the hospital or not.

The incident was classified as second-degree robbery, a felony, according to a police report.
