LONG ISLAND, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that there are road closures slated to begin on Monday night.
The westbound Sunrise Highway, which is State Route 27, will be closed between Exit 53 at State Route 112 in Patchogue in the Town of Brookhaven, and Exit 51 at Nicolls Road, which is County Route 97, in Holbrook.
The roadways will be closed between 10 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday to facilitate pavement repairs.
Motorists will be detoured onto the North Service Road for around three and a half miles for access to return to Sunrise Highway.
