Suffolk Police Continue Search For Long Island Woman, 9 Years Later

HOLBROOK, NY — Friday marked the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of a Long Island woman.

Michelle Spurvey, 53, who has no known last address, was reported missing on July 31, 2017, Suffolk police said.

The department's Public Information Bureau confirmed Thursday that investigators are continuing to seek information about her whereabouts.

Spurvey was reported missing by her family in Holbrook, police said.

She is 5 feet tall and weighs about 130 lbs. She has brown eyes and brown/blonde hair, according to police.

Spurvey was featured back in March in the department's weekly feature on its Facebook page, "Missing Mondays," which seeks to highlight the identities of missing persons.
