HOLBROOK, NY — Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a man in Holbrook Tuesday morning, Suffolk police said.
Matthew Schneider was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Express eastbound on Express Drive South, near
Maple Avenue, when the vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned at around 3:10 a.m., according to police.
A passing motorist called 911 at 5:28 a.m., and Schneider, 26, of Selden, was pronounced dead later at the scene, police said.
His vehicle was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
