SELDEN, NY — Suffolk police are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect they say grabbed a DeWalt lawn mower and pressure washer worth around $1,400 from The Home Depot in Selden last week.
A man grabbed the items from the Independence Plaza location on Sept. 19 at around 8:25 p.m., according to police.
In security video, the man can be seen wearing a black and white sweatsuit and a black baseball cap.
Detectives from the 6th Squad in Selden are investigating the crime as grand larceny, according to a police press release.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Anyone with information can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, a confidential police hotline, using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at P3Tips.com.
All calls, text messages, and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
