Part Of LIE In Holtsville To Be Closed On Wednesday

HOLTSVILLE, NY — The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists os a closure on the Long Island Expressway in Holtsville on Wednesday.

The eastbound Long Island Expressway will be closed at Exit 62, which is Nicolls Road, or Suffolk County Road 97, beginning at 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following morning to facilitate bridge maintenance, the agency said.

All traffic will be detoured onto the South Service Road for around a half-mile to reenter the expressway, according to the agency.

In case of inclement weather, this operation will be postponed until Thursday.
