Another Scratch Off Winner Buys Ticket in Sachem Area

A woman from East Setauket scored a $25,000 payday thanks to a New York Lottery scratch off ticket she purchased from a Farmingville store.

Kristin Masotto won the $25,000 prize after scratching the winning numbers of a "Multiply Your Money!" game card purchased at the 7-Eleven on Horseblock Road and Starling Place in Farmingville.

Masotto couldn't cash in the prize money right then and there. According to the New Lottery release, only prizes up to $600 can be redeemed at the retailer that sold the ticket. Prizes valued from $601 to $999,999 are claimed at the Lottery's stand-along customer service centers. The only center on Long Island is in Garden City. Another center is located in Manhattan.  

It's a lucky month for the Sachem area Lottery vendors. Just last week , of Holbrook, won $3 million with a scratch off game purchased at Cards & Things in the Waldbaum's shopping center where he worked. The $3 million top prize will be doled out to Wodzenski in increments of $125,000 for the next 20 years.
