Area Firefighters Respond To Small Fire At Selden Hibachi Restaurant: Police

SELDEN, NY — Area firefighters were called to Nishiki Hibachi and Sushi Restaurant early Tuesday after a small grease fire broke out, Suffolk police said.

First responders were called to the Independence Plaza restaurant in Selden after a fire alarm went off just after 6 a.m., according to police.

The Selden Fire Department forced entry into the restaurant and extinguished the fire in the kitchen, and the fire chief determined that it was not criminal in nature, police said.

No injuries were reported to police.
