Armed Robber Flees Cops In Cab With Female Victim In Suffolk: Police
Two people were arrested following the Friday night incident, police say.

Two people were arrested for their involvement in an armed robbery in Ronkonkoma on Friday night, police say.
According to authorities, Christina Pecoraro, 29, of Ronkonkoma, was driving a 2000 Nissan Altima when she dropped off Jason Scourby, 33, of Patchogue, on Cedar Avenue, where he walked up to a car occupied by a man and a woman, pulled out a gun and demanded money at 7:30 p.m., police say.
The man inside the car, who knew Scourby, jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene while Scourby jumped into the car, with the man's girlfriend in the passenger seat, and drove away, police say. Scourby then displayed a gun and told the woman to call her boyfriend to get money, police say.

The man who fled called 911 and and police located and arrested Pecoraro on the corner of Walnut Avenue and Peconic Avenue in Ronkonkoma at 8:10 p.m.
Police then located Scourby in Ronkonkoma, which led to a brief pursuit, police say. Scourby allegedly evaded police and abandoned the vehicle in Holbrook while still with the woman. Scourby walked to a stranger's house and used their phone to call a cab company, police say. The cab arrived and picked Scourby and the woman up, police say.

At 10:30 p.m., officers saw two people fitting the description of Scourby and the woman inside a cab and initiated a traffic stop in front of 5 Maria Court in Holbrook, police say. Scourby was arrested and brought to the Fifth Precinct for processing.
Pecoraro was charged with first-degree robbery.
Scourby was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree menacing, second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both Pecoraro and Scourby were arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Central Islip.
