Arrest Made After Holbrook 7-Eleven Robbery, Police Say
BREAKING: The robber was arrested a short distance away from a 7-Eleven store in Holbrook on Monday, police say.

HOLBROOK, NY — Police have arrested an East Patchogue man who they say robbed a 7-Eleven store on Broadway Avenue in Holbrook. Kevin Chieffo entered the store around 6 a.m. Monday and pretended to buy something, Suffolk County police said.
When the cashier opened the register, Chieffo reached in and grabbed a handful of money. The cashier tried to stop the robbery, and the two struggled briefly before Chieffo broke free and took off with the bills, police said.
A security guard who was in the store getting coffee at the time called police and followed the man until police arrived. Chieffo was taken into custody a short distance away.
