ISLANDIA, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating a robbery at BP Gas in Islandia early Thursday morning, a spokeswoman said.

The gas station, which is located at 1460 Veterans Memorial Highway, was robbed at about 1:45 a.m., according to police. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the robbery.

Minutes later, just down the road at QuickChek in Bohemia, a theft was also reported, police said.

It is under investigation if the two incidents are connected, according to police.

Police did not release any further details about either incident.
