Brookhaven Town Board Approves 2.5% Pay Increase For Blue-Collar Unit: Report
The union's members were working without a contract since the last expired in December 2019, includes retroactive pay, Newsday reported.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — The Brookhaven Town Board on Thursday unanimously approved a pay increase, averaging 2.5 percent over 10 years, for the town's blue-collar unit, Newsday reported.
The agreement reached with the union, whose members were working without a contract since the last expired in December 2019, includes a 12-year pay period that is retroactive to January 2020, the outlet reported.
The new contract also makes Juneteenth a paid holiday and increases health care premiums for employees, according to the outlet.
