A snapshot of some recent police activity in the town.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — The reports below are excerpts from Suffolk police's 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th precincts that comprise Brookhaven Town.

Criminal charges do not indicate a conviction.

CORAM

  • A 16-year-old from Coram and an 18-year-old from Central Islip were arrested on Elmore Street in Central Islip after cops say a gun was found in their vehicle at about 3:15 a.m. on April 16. The pair were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Police did not release the teens names or any further details.

EAST PATCHOGUE

  • Zippy Shell on Robinson Avenue was broken into and six lockers were entered at about 7 a.m. on April 13, but nothing was taken.
  • The door was broken and cash was stolen from arcade games at a laundromat on Montauk Highway just before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

LAKE RONKONKOMA

  • A Lake Ronkonkoma couple reported that one of their checks was cloned and then used by an unknown person. Further details were not released.

MASTIC

  • A Medford woman was charged on Tuesday with animal cruelty under the state's agricultural and markets law for not feeding her pit bull, Suffolk police said.

Alexa Corbett, 31, did not feed her red-nosed pit bull or provide proper hygiene and the animal developed a face and muzzle abscess at a home on Bullard Street in Mastic on March 17, according to police. Corbet was charged with torturing, injuring, and/or not feeding an animal, an unclassified misdemeanor, in Medford, police said.

Corbett's court case information was not immediately available.

MEDFORD

  • A Medford man was arrested after cops say he brandished a deadly weapon on Bellport Lane in Medford at about 8:30 p.m. on April 9. Michael Quinn, 35, was charged with second-degree menacing, according to police. No other details were released. His court information was not immediately available.

MOUNT SINAI

  • A Wheatley Heights man was arrested on multiple charges connected with selling drugs at a location on Route 25A in Mount Sinai on Friday, police say.

John McGee, 32, was slapped with first, second, third and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for being caught with crystal meth, fentanyl, ketamine, heroin, gabapentin, and crack cocaine, as well as paraphernalia like digital scales and bags, which are used in packaging drugs, according to police.

Police allege McGee was caught with the drugs between February and March in Commack, Huntington, Smithtown, and Brentwood. No further details were released.

McGee was released on his own recognizance, according to online court records.

  • Someone broke the front door at about 11:40 a.m. on Monday at Bagels Your Way on Route 25A in Mount Sinai, but they left empty-handed.

SHIRLEY

  • The front glass door of AT&T in Shirley was broken and cops say multiple electronic items were stolen at about 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

SOUND BEACH

  • A fence door was broken, then a bedroom window was pried open and a water heater and copper piping were stolen from a home on Halesite Drive in Sound Beach sometime between March 31 and April 16.

STONY BROOK

  • A resident reported that their home on Hargrove Street was broken into sometime on Friday and firearms, a safe, jewelry, paperwork, and identification were taken.
