This is a snapshot of some of the arrests and incidents from across the township.

BROOKHAVEN TOWN, NY — Suffolk's first responders were busy last week, according to the Suffolk County Police Department and other first responders’ logs.

Here's a snapshot of some incidents and arrests:

CORAM

  • A man was stabbed in a carjacking in Coram on July 6, police said.

At around midnight, he was approached on Swain Court by four men who opened the door of his 2020 Toyota Corolla, pulled him out and then stabbed him, before making off in it, according to police.

The man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of his wounds, police said.

EAST SETAUKET

  • A man reported on Sunday that he sent nude pictures of himself to someone who tried to blackmail him, claiming they would tell his family on Sunday, police said.

HOLBROOK

  • A Nesconset man was arrested after police say he tried to rip off a cross-body bag from a woman who refused to give it to him and then choked her in Holbrook early Sunday morning.

It is not clear if the woman was hurt in the 12:35 a.m. attack.

Brian Harrison, 34, was charged with third-degree robbery, according to police. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip, online court records show.

A temporary order of protection was issued, and he was released on his own recognizance, the records show.

  • A man at a business reported that an employee threatened him after he fired him by showing a gun tucked in his waistband on Friday at around 3:20 p.m., police said.

MASTIC

  • A Mastic man was charged with public lewdness after exposing himself at his home on Sunday, police said.

MASTIC BEACH

  • Someone used a sledgehammer to damage the stone steps of Village Pets on Neighborhood Road in Mastic Beach at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said.
  • A person reported that another pulled a knife on them on Mastic Road in Mastic Beach at around 11:20 p.m. on Friday, police said.
  • A 38-year-old Mastic man was arrested for criminal trespass after entering a property involved in a landlord/tenant dispute on Forest Road in Mastic Beach at around 8:30 p.m. on July 7, police said.

MIDDLE ISLAND

  • A man reported that he was punched and his cell phone swiped on Middle Country Road in Middle Island at around 10 p.m. on July 8.

PATCHOGUE

  • A woman reported she went to the hospital after she was punched in the face and sprayed with Mace when she was involved in a fight with three other women in Patchogue on Sunday, police said.

The fight took place at a location on West Main Street at around 2:30 a.m., according to police.

No arrests have been made.

  • A New Jersey man was charged in connection with breaking a door and swiping items at the Heatherwood apartments on July 7, police said.

Nicholas Simsir, 27, of Haddonfield, NJ, was charged with second-degree burglary, according to police. He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip and was released with monetary bail conditions, online court records show.

A temporary order of protection was issued, the records show.
