Brookhaven Town Remembers 9-11 at Memorial Ceremony
Ceremony held at Town Hall 9-11 Memorial Thursday morning.

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine and the Town Council led a Moment of Silence Thursday morning to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in New York City, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001.
During the ceremony, which was held at the Town Hall 9-11 Memorial in Farmingville, the Rev. Beresford Adams from the Faith Baptist Church offered a special prayer in memory of all the lives that were lost and a bell was struck five times to signal the traditional “back to base” in honor of the firefighters, police and emergency service personnel who died at the World Trade Center. The 9-11 Memorial is located behind Town Hall near the fitness path.
