Car Crashes Into Irish Times Pub

HOLBROOK, NY – A car crashed into Irish Times Pub in Holbrook Thursday afternoon after its 90-year-old driver swerved to avoid another vehicle, Suffolk Police said.

According to police, the man was attempting to pull into a parking space in front of the pub located at 975 Main St. around 4 p.m. when he swerved and drove into the building.

There were no injuries to the driver or anyone inside the building, police said.

The fire marshal and a Town of Islip building inspector were investigating to determine if the building is structurally safe.
