A car almost slammed into a Suffolk County home Sunday afternoon in a crash that sent two people to the hospital. The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with a reported "car into tree" on Patchogue Holbrook Road in Lake Ronkonkoma around 3 p.m The driver apparently lost control while heading south on Patchogue Holbrook Road, hitting a tree and just missing a house. Two people inside the car were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries via a Ronkonkoma Fire Department ambulance. Photo by Bryan Lopez

The Ronkonkoma Fire Department was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with a reported "car into tree" on Patchogue Holbrook Road in Lake Ronkonkoma around 3 p.m The driver apparently lost control while heading south on Patchogue Holbrook Road, hitting a tree and just missing a house. Two people inside the car were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries via a Ronkonkoma Fire Department ambulance.
