Drunken Driver Crashes Subaru, Killing Suffolk Woman On Monday: Cops

The vehicle struck a Chevy van, then a tree at about 2:15 a.m., Suffolk cops say.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — A Selden man has been charged with drunken driving after a crash that killed a woman in Farmingville early on Monday morning, Suffolk police said.

Anthony Milano was driving a 2018 Subaru westbound on Clearview Avenue, just east of Blue Point Road, at about 2:15 a.m. when the vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied 2015 Chevrolet van and then a tree, according to police.

Paige Swiecicki, 30, of East Patchogue, who was seated in the rear of the Subaru, was pronounced dead at the scene, said police, adding that 30-year-old Selden resident Scott Johnson, who was seated in the front, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Milano, 31, of 10 Oakdale Ave., was charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and his arraignment date is pending due to medical treatment.
