Each month a guest poet presents a reading after which the audience is encouraged to share original works at an open mic. This month’s guest reader is Jay Jii, the author of Solar Tapestry, a book of poetry, short stories, and art. Mr. Jii is best known for his elaborate poetic performances, which are equal parts avant-garde theatre, illusion show, classical guitar recital, and masquerade ball. His mission is clear: "…to innovate and challenge. If I merely amuse, I have failed. " Special thanks to Mankh, member of the Performance Poets Association, for hosting this series.
