Farmingville Man Charged With Drug, Gun Possession: Suffolk PD
He was found with crack cocaine and a loaded gun at a location on Terryville Road in Nesconset on Thursday, police said.
FARMINGVILLE, NY — A Farmingville man was caught Thursday afternoon with crack cocaine that he intended to sell and a loaded gun inside a 2011 Lincoln at a Nesconset location, Suffolk police said.
Alex Orama, 36, was arrested on Terryville Road just before 2 p.m., and he was charged with second-and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, as well as third, fifth, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said. Orama has a previous conviction for weapon possession, according to police.
Police did not release any further information about his arrest.

It appears that Orama has not posted bail, according to online state court records. At the time of his arrest, he had been released after posting bail —a $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash — that was related to felony driving while intoxicated, weapon possession, and reckless endagerment charges following an indictmemt in August, online state court records show.
