Farmingville Teen Spray-Painted Swastika, Bias Graffiti on Deli

The 17-year-old was arrested Monday, police say.

FARMINGVILLE, NY - A Farmingville teen has been arrested for spray-painting a swastika and bias graffiti on the outside of a local business, Suffolk Police said.

Based on information provided by Sixth Precinct Police Officer Keith Murphy, Hate Crimes Unit detectives arrested a 17-year-old female on Monday night for spray-painting on the outside of Corner Deli and Café, located at 711 Horseblock Road, sometime between April 3-4.

The teen, who was charged with making graffiti, was released on a field appearance ticket and will be arraigned at a later date.

Suffolk Police did not identify the teen, citing a new department policy of not naming teens between the ages of 16-19 who are charged with misdemeanors.
