Fire Damages Holbrook Home

No injuries reported in blaze late Sunday night.

Residents of a Holbrook home escaped injury when their home went up in flames late Sunday night.

The Holbrook Fire Department was alerted to the fire on Ferraro Drive around 11:50 p.m. First arriving chief on scene Chris Heinssen was met with heavy smoke and fire showing from the top floor of the home.

Assistance was called in from surrounding fire departments such as Sayville and Holtsville and the fire was quickly knocked down. A fire marshal and the Suffolk County Police Arson Squad were requested to the scene to investigate.

No injuries were reported.
