Forcible Touching Incident On LIRR Train In Ronkonkoma Investigated: MTA
A female told police she awoke on a train to an unknown man touching her, an agency spokeswoman says.
RONKONKOMA, NY — Metropolitan Transportation Authority police are investigating a report made by a female, who says she was forcibly touched on the outside of her pants on an eastbound Long Island Rail Road train at the Ronkonkoma station on Saturday morning, a spokeswoman said Monday.
She could not confirm if the complainant is a woman or a girl.
In a preliminary investigation, the complainant stated to MTA police that she boarded the train at Penn Station at around 3 a.m., and fell asleep, and upon waking at Ronkonkoma Station, an unknown man was sitting next to her forcibly touching her on the outside of her pants, the agency's spokeswoman said.

She de-boarded the train immediately and found a friend who was waiting for her on the platform, and the friend, upon learning of the incident, called police, according to the agency.
The complainant refused medical attention, the agency said.

The perpetrator fled to parts unknown, according to the agency.
The investigation into the incident, which was reported at around 4:45 a.m., is ongoing, the agency said.
