Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, August 21

Postings across the internet were slim this week. Many jobs from previous weeks remain advertised, but the number of new ones added was not many. Here are some that were added, though:

Housekeeper: Ronkonkoma family seek part-time housekeeper. Job entails working Monday through Thursday, 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., and providing general cleaning services while also preparing dinner. No child care involved. Pay between $15 and $20 per hour.

Auto Glass Installer: This is an entry-level position in Farmingville. The successful candidate will have a clean driver’s license, be mechanically inclined, and reliable and well-mannered enough to work on site at customer’s homes. Pay begins at $10 per hour.

Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry: There are vacancies at the Phoenix House in both Ronkonkoma and Hauppauge for a nurse practitioner in psychiatry. This is a full time position and requires a proper New York State nursing license. Previous experience helpful.

Receptionist: Bay Shore Medical, a national player in the buying and selling of diagnostic equipment, is looking for a receptionist for its Ronkonkoma office.  This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, and calls for excellent communication skills, internet abilities, and great organizational skills. Solar Sales Professional: Mercury Solar in Holbrook is looking to and a sales professional to its team. Previous sales experience, a bachelor’s degree, and knowledge of financial analytics are all need for this full time position. Reliable vehicle also needed.

Administrative Assistant: Holbrook outfit looking for detail-oriented administrative assistant for full time position. Phone, clerical and computer skills (Word, Excel and QuickBooks) are all needed. Hours are from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily. Benefits offered. 

Floor Installer: First Class Hardwood Flooring in Selden has an opening for a floor installer who can also take care of sanding. This is a full time position. Experience preferred. Must own car and have clean driver’s license.

Criminal Research Associate: This is an entry-level opening with Cargo in Holtsville, a leading information services company. Primary responsibilities include reviewing court documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills are key to this position.

Whole Foods Market: The folks at Whole Foods Market would like the Sachem community to know that on every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. the company’s Lake Grove location will be hosting a job hiring screening.
