Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Dec. 12

Despite being the middle of December, a handful of new full time, and part time, jobs were posted this week in the Sachem area. Fewer were for seasonal work, but a variety turned up across the internet nonetheless. Here is a sample:

Home Health Aides: Family Home Health Care, a community based non-profit home care service agency, seeks home health aides for immediate placement in Hotlsville, Ronkonkoma, Farmingville, Holbrook and surrounding towns. Having your own transportation is a plus.

Tax preparer: Tax time has a way of slowly creeping up, and H & R Block is getting ready by seeking a part-time tax preparer for its Farmingville office. Salary is $10 an hour with the possibility of bonuses. Spanish speaking persons are encouraged to inquire.

Store Manager: The Holbrook and Lake Ronkonkoma locations of Waldbaums are hiring Store Managers. The position requires applying through the companies corporate web site. If hired, perks include health benefits, paid vacation,  a 401k and pension plan.

Babysitter: Holtsville family seeks weeknight sitter for two children. This is part time work and pays between $10-$12 an hour. Needed to start Dec. 16.

Account Manager: Another green job pops up this week, and its for an Account Manager with the Conservation Service Group in Ronkonkoma. This is a full-time position emphasising client relationship skills, as well as knowledge of Long Island's energy efficient construction field.

Paralegal: A Lake Grove-based medical malpractice office is looking for a full-time paralegal to join its staff. The position calls for five-years experience with regard to litigation from case inception to trial. Salary is based on experience and includes benefits. 

Driver Helper at UPS: More than just a seasonal position, UPS in Farmingville is looking for part-time driver helpers. This is a physically demanding position (able to lift up to 35 pounds). Hourly rate of pay is $8.50-$9.50 and workload is for roughly four hours a day, Monday through Friday. 

General Manager: If you have management experience of at least one year, you could be right for the general manager position at Sbarro’s in Lake Grove. The Italian restaurant is seeing a outgoing, customer-driven supervisor. Knowledge of pizza making and Italian cuisine a strong plus. 

Medical Biller: Automated Financial Systems of Ronkonkoma is looking to fill a full-time medical biller position that starts out between $18-$28. Working knowledge of EPACES, Medicaid billing protocol and two-years experience in nursing home billing are all requirements. 

Teachers needed for AIS: The Sachem Central School District is looking to fill several AIS before-and-after elementary school programs for fourth and fifth grade at eight schools. This is a position for teachers. Base pay is $51.27 per hour. All applicants need appropriate AIS certification. 

Personal Trainer: Get in before the boom of new year is a casting call of this LA Fitness job posting seeking personal trainers for its Lake Grove location. Training provided, but experience in the fitness industry and certified trainers are preferred. Benefits available. Minimal age to apply is 18. 

Dental Assistant: A part-time dental assistant is needed for a Lake Grove dental office.The position requires greeting patients, answering phones and assisting the doctor. Hours looking to be filled are between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
