Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Feb. 20

Job postings in the Sachem area experiences an up tick this week. Both entry level and mid-level positions at small and large businesses were more plentiful than they have been all month. Here’s a look at some of the positions posted:

Assembler/Wirer: Apotowave, a manufacturer in Ronkonkoma, has an opening for an experienced assembler. This is a full-time position with benefits, but requires 3-5 years experience in soldering.

Banker: Located in Farmingville, Citizen’s Financial Group has an opening for an instore banker. This is a full-time position with a schedule that varies. Weekend work, high school diploma, and one-year sales experience required.

Bartenders: The Tenth Inning -- a bar in Holbrook -- underwent a face lift recently and is now called Ten83, an upscale lounge.  To accommidate the change, the Main Street establishment is seeking some new bartenders. Shifts available include 11:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. until close. Looking for experience and reliable candidates to answer open call Monday and Tuesday, February 21 and 22.

Dog sitter: Ronkonkoma dog owner seeks sitter for puppy on Thursdays. Feeding, walking and playing with dog required. Pay between $5 and $15 per hour.

Pool Service Technician: It’s only February, but a swimming pool service company in Holbrook is already gearing up for warm weather. Right now the company is looking for a pool service technician with at least two year’s experience in the industry. Customer service and client relationship skills a plus.

Driver: You’ll need a license. You’ll also need to be able to handle a variety of vehicles as this part-time position is with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Ronkonkoma. Primary responsibility is delivering vehicles to and from rental locations . Flexible schedule. Compensation of $7.50 an hour.

Telemarketer: This position takes a little perseverance, but Fivestar Insurance in Holbrook is looking for a telemarketer to set appointments. Salaried position with bonsues.  

Pharmacist: This position is located in the K-Mart store of Farmingville. Bachelor degree in pharmacy and great customer service required. As the staff pharmacist, responsibilities include managing the  pharmacy department, as well as overseeing technicians and customer service associates.

Sushi Chef: Genji Inc., with operations inside of Whole Foods Market in Lake Grove, is in need of a sushi chef. Basic sushi skills, a passion for food, and customer services abilities required. Benefits available for full-time employees.

Mother and Child Care Coordinator: Phoenix House, a non-profit drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Lake Ronkonkoma, is looking for a person with experience in child development to become its mother and child care coordinator. Minimal qualifications call for a four-year bachelors degree in child development and working knowledge of literacy development. Preferred qualifications include strong conflict resolution  skills.

Hair Stylist: Wild Orchid Salon in Holbrook is looking to add a stylist/colorist who already has an established following. Flexible scheduling offered as well as commission and bonuses for candidates with a following.
