Help Wanted: Job postings in Sachem, Feb. 27

Continuing a trend started last week, a few restaurant jobs popped up this time around. Other than that the amount of positions advertised across the internet seems to have stayed relatively the same since last week. Here's a look at a few that are out there:

Bartender/Server:  The Long Island Grill in Lake Ronkonkoma is looking for an experience bartender/server. Positive attitude needed. A following and five-years experience preferred. Position requires serving a full menu from behind the bar.

Road Service Technician: Defined as a “high-impact role,” the road service technician position with InterCity Tire in Ronkonkoma requires travel and is physically demanding (able to lift 60 pounds). High School diploma and valid drivers license need for this position which is responsible for making deliveries and servicing customers in both Nassau and Suffolk.

Ultasound Technician: Immediate opening for an ultrasound tech. at office in Ronkonkoma. Main focus is treatment of vein disorder, but right candidate needs experiences with intransthoracic echocardiography, carotid studies, as well as upper and lower extremity arterial and venous ultrasounds.

Social Work Counselor: The Family & Children’s Association, a not-for-profit that helps under-served and underprivileged individuals, is looking for a social work counselor to help implement its Project Independence program. This full-time position is at the organization’s Holbrook location. Work includes developing and facilitating independent living skills and coordinating service efforts with DSS caseworkers.

Maintenance Engineer: There isn’t much listed regarding this position at the Crown Plaza in Holtsville, but given the specificity of the title you can decided whether or not you are qualified.

Sitter: Ronkonkoma family with two children seeks sitter for a few hours a week in the evenings. Immediate start. Pay between $13 and $15 per hour.

Car Maintenance Person: North Country Limousine in Lake Grove is looking for a someone to clean and do basic maintenance on vehicles. This position requires working at least one weekend day.

Night Stock Clerk: Located in Holbrook, Pathmark, Waldbaums, and Toys”R”Us all have openings for a night stock clerk. Positions are part time and center around stocking shelves and sorting deliveries.

Store Clerk: The 7-11 at the corner of Middle County Road and Portion Road in Lake Grove is looking to fill a clerk position for the shift of 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. Experience preferred but not required. Holiday and weekend work involved.

Line Cook: Smokey Bones in Ronkonkoma is advertising an opening for  a line cook. Responsibilities include cutting, slicing, wrapping and preparing foods, including raw materials. This is somewhat of a physically demanding position. Hours of work vary.

Physical Therapist: New York physical therapist license and degree from an accredited  college with an APTA needed for this full-time position paying $75k at a medical group in Farmingville. Minimum of one year experience in outpatient care with a private clinic or hospital required. Attractive benefit package offered.

Truck Driver: If you are equipped with a CDL license, able to lift upwards to 75 pounds and are looking for a position that allows you to be home at nights, than the open truck driver position at Allied Building Products in Ronkonkoma might be for you. Experience operating a boom preferred. Base pay plus benefits.
