Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, Jan. 16

There's a limit to large corporations in the Sachem area. And unlike some boardering communities, there is no real industrial part either. There are plenty of small businesses and it's those companies that are most responsible for the job board this week. Here's some of the positions available in Sachem:

Taxi Driver: Islandwide Taxi, located at 1 Hawkins Avenue in Ronkonkoma, is looking for drivers. Both part time and full time positions available. A CleanClass A license as well as drug test are required.

Assistant Warehouse Manager (night shift): Holbrook-based Guaranteed Returns, a reverse pharmaceutical distributing company, is looking for an assistant warehouse manager for the night shift. The position pays between $37,000 and $45,000, requiring at least 2-5 years supervisory experience in a warehouse setting. Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) needed.

Butcher: If you have experience with a hydrolic sausage machine and an electric meat saw then you might be right for the butcher position open at Lombardi’s Market in Holbrook. If interested, stop by the gourmet market’s location at 1055 main street between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m to learn more about the position. 

Assembly Technician: Previous experience (at least two years) in assembly is sought for this full-time position with Aerotek in Ronkonkoma. Work requires fabricating, assembling, installing, testing, repairing and maintenance work on vacuum components and systems.

Night Office Manager: Advanced Chimney had a manager position open at its Ronkonkoma location. Previous management experience needed for this position that pays salary plus commission.

Automotive Mechanic: There is an immediate opening at Drive Train Truck Parts in Holtsville for a full-time auto mechanic. Specialty in steering boxes and hydraulics a plus. Medical and dental benefits available after 90 days of employment.

Account Representative: You might be familiar with the duck that represents Aflak, but click here and you will become familiar with the account representative position at the company’s Ronkonkoma location. This is a full-time position with an emphasis on sales.

Store Clerk: The fairly-new 7-11 on Middle Country Road in Lake Grove is looking for a store clerk for the 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. shift. Experience preferred but not required.

Cleaners: Ronkonkoma-based Alfeo’s, a family cleaning business, is looking full-time commerical and residential cleaners. The position pays $10 an hour and has a daily work schedule of 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Paid holidays. English speakers with reliable transportation encouraged to apply.

Tow Truck Driver: Both full and part time tow truck driver positions are open at Elite Towing and Transportation in Lake Grove. Clean license and clean appearance needed. Experience preferred, but not necessary.
