Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, June 5

After a healthy May, the first week of June offers up a decent variety of internet job postings in the Sachem area. Craigslist postings were average, and job board postings slightly below that. Here's a look at some of the positions that are currently available:

Stylist: Ronkonkoma is getting a new hair salon which is currently interviewing for a stylist. Computer proficiency, salon experience, and a friendly demeanor are all key. Full and part time work available. Two positions open.

HR Director: Plenty of experience --  over ten years -- is needed for this HR Director position with Motorola in Holtsville. Post graduate degree preferred, but not required. Position reports to senior director of human resources and is needed to carry out multiple HR functions in areas such as rewards, training, organizational development, staffing and employee relations.

Sign person: The 'teen job of the week' calls for an aminated and enthuastic individual for sign work in Lake Ronkonkoma. Position involves standing in an area for a few hours advertising businesses. Pay is $9 per hour.

HVAC Installation: Established Holtsville company looking for experienced heating and air conditioning installator. Own tools, a neat appearance and knowledge of latest techniques needed. Benefits and 401k offered.

Banker: This entry-level position with Capitol One in Patchogue calls for a relationship banker who will be responsible for direct selling of customer and small business products. High School diploma or GED equivalent and one year of retail or customer service experience needed. College course work in business preferred.

Utility Associate: HSMSHost, which is a part of Autogrill S.P.A., a world renown provider of food, beverage and retail service for travelers, has an opening at MacArthur Airport in Ronkomkoma for an utility associate. Position requires various responsibilities, including cleaning, prepping workstations, loading supplies, and other tasks directed by management. Benefits offered. Ability to lift and carry fairly heavy objects, and ability to communicate effectively with customers, needed. 

Restaurant Manager: Slightly outside the Sachem area, Buffalo Wild Wings in Centereach (and other locations) is looking to hire restuarant management. High energy, and previous restuarant management experience needed. Benefits and paid vacation offered.

Web Programmer: CAMP, a leading provider of business aviation information, has an opening for a web programmer at its Ronkonkoma office. This full-time position is responsible for all current product suites and for creating new one. Two-plus years experience needed. Knowledge of and hands-on experience with ASP, NET, VB, JavaScript and AJAX a plus. Comprehensive benefits offered.

Social Worker: This is a temporary position with the Suffolk Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Patchogue. Position could last six weeks or six months and calls for a social worker with at least a year of experience. Bachelor's of Social Work required. Schedule is three and a half days each week, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Auto Sales: Advertised as an opportunity to put your retail sales experience to the test, Stallone Auto Sales in Centereach is looking for a pre-owned vechicle sales person.  Computer skills, a good personality and knowledge of Craigslist postings needed. Nights and weekend work required. Salary and commision offered.
