Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, March 27

There was an average offering of jobs in the Sachem area posted across the internet this week. In the community, though, several businesses have recently put help wanted signs in their windows so keep an eye out. Nevertheless, here's a look at some of the Sachem-area positions that were posted:

Account Specialist: One Source Document Management, a Ronkonkoma-based confidential copying company, is looking for an account specialist. This entry-level position calls for a flexible  person with strong communication skills to work onsite and at client sites taking care of processing requests. Experience with Microsoft Office applications needed.

Social Media Coordinator: Put your Twitter, Facebook and Youtube skills to good use as a social media coordinator for NBTY. The Ronkonkoma-based manufacture of nutritional supplements is looking for someone to represent the company's brand across the internet. Ability to communicate and execute social marketing campaigns is a top priority. Salary and benefits offered.

Assistant Manager: Do you have experience in a quick service restaurant? If so, Burger King in Lake Grove is looking for an assistant manager to assume responsibility for the operations and customer service of the 24-hour restaurant. High School diploma or GED required, college preferred.

Inside Sales/Customer Service Rep: Three years of experience, or more, is needed for this full-time position with Pride Products Corporation, a leading distributor of general merchandise found in 99 cent stories, discount stores, supermarkets and such. Representative will assist and serve existing customers while also developing new ones. Salary between $35,000 and $60,000 annually.

Administrative Assistant: This is a temporary position with the Hilton Garden Inn in Holtsville. Work week is full (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.). Microsoft office experience needed. Pay between $15 and $16 per hour.

Gas line experience: Not a career job, but a Farmingville family seeks an experienced gas person, to help them convert a natural gas dryer to propane. Job needs completion ASAP.

Billing Clerk: This is a part-time position with ExcelAire, an aviation management and aircraft maintenance company in Ronkonkoma. The billing clerk will work up to 30 hours a week. Customer relations and cash receipt collection both responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and two years recent work experience preferred.  

Day Care Assistant: Certified in-home day care in Holtsville seeks full and part time employees. Pay between $8.50 and $9.00 per hour.

Legal Secretary: Lake Grove law office has an opening for an experienced legal secretary. Proficiency in Microsoft and trial works software required. This is a full time position requiring a four-year degree. Areas of law covered includes automobile, labor law, products, medical malpractice and premises liability.

Hairdresser: There is an open chair available in The New Beginnings Hair & Nail Salon in Farmingville. Hairdresser with experience and a following desired to rent chair, or split commission 50/50.
