Help Wanted: Job Postings in Sachem, May 8

A glimpse at current positions currently available.

Sachem job advertisements remain healthy in the month of May. Craiglist postings are up, and job board positings slightly down. Continuing a trend seen last week, seasonal positions are again in abudancy so scoop them up while you can. Here's a sample of what is out there:

Cabinet/Closet Installer: Skilled craftsman with at least three years experience needed for this position with California Closets in Ronkonkoma. Opportunity is seasonal. Pay between $14 and $18 per hour. Clean driver’s license and English speaking communication needed.

Customer Service Rep: Langer Biomechanics of Ronkomkoma seeks dynamic customer service representative who can handle the tasks of order entry and quality control as well. Fielding incoming and outgoing calls; tracking orders; data entry are all requirements of this position. High School diploma needed. Experience a plus. Pay between $12 and $13 per hour.

Sealcoater: Experience working as a seal coater on residential properties is desired for this position with Holbrook-bases seal coating company. Cleanliness and precision a must, as is at least two year's experience. Pay is $175 per day.

Banker: Citizens Financial Group in Ronkonkoma has an opening for an In Store Banker.  You’ll have to be able to handle a flexable schedule (weekends and nights included) and also have a knack for sales as marketing bank products to customers is apart of this full-time position.

IT System Administrator: J Kings, a leading food distribution company in Holtsville, is looking for a detail oriented individual with excellent communication and trouble shooting skills. Working as an IT system administrator , you will maintain, troubleshoot and administer company network. Strong computer knowledge needed. References needed. Pay between $12 and $15 to start. Benefits and room for growth available.

Nanny: Slightly outside of Sachem, a Nesconset family is in need of a part-time nanny for their 22-month-old son. Light housework also involved (preparing son’s meals, laundry). Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. are the hours . Candidates available through summer and into fall desired. Pay between $10 and $15 per hour.

Photographer and sales associate: Located in Farmingville, Olan Mills Portrait Studios is looking to hire a photographer and sales associate. Position entails working on location and photographing customer requests (family, baby, stills), as well as selling portrait packages. Previous experience preferred by not required. Weekend work a must. Benefits offered.

Pizza Delivery Person: The ‘teen job of the week’ is a classic, working as a pizza delivery person, in this particular instance at Gianna’s Pizzeria II in Farmingville. Good customer service skills and your own GPS needed. In addition to delivers, candidate will fold boxes, roll dough, and answer phones. Shifts open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Swimming Pool Tech: Lake Grove-based  Swimming Pool Service Company looking to added fifth pool technician to a staff of nine. Position pays cash weekly. Experience with pool opening, closing and basic maintenance desired.

Restaurant Staff: Formerly Nick and Gina’s, and before that Anthony’s, the restaurant at 519 Hawkins Avenue will soon house a sports lounge. Before the opening, the sports lounge is looking to hire experienced staff, including bartenders, back backs, line cooks, dishwashers, busboys, servers, prep staff and hosts.
