Holbrook Card Store Robbed at Knifepoint

A man armed with a knife robbed a Holbrook card store Monday afternoon, police said.

According to police, the man entered 50% Card and Gifts located at 960 Main St. at about 3:15 p.m. He displayed a knife and demanded cash.

The man stole cash and cigarettes then fled on foot.

The robber is described as white, six-foot tall with a dark beard. Canine officers and Aviation Section officers searched for the man, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is urged to call Fifth Squad detectives at 631-854-8552.

The same card store was burglarized during the overnight hours last Thursday. A day later, YoGoMania on Main Street in Holbrook was robbed by a man who threatened the use of a knife, but did not display one. Patch has obtained the below surveillance photo from that robbery. Police have not said if they believe the incidents are related.
