Holbrook Woman Was Getaway Driver In Robbery Spree: Police

Two people were arrested Wednesday morning after a two-day robbery spree that spanned across Suffolk County, police said.

According to police, officers were searching for a white Honda involved in several robberies and attempted robberies when they located the vehicle at the Marina Motel, located at 134 Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst, around 8:20 a.m.

Police observed a man in a motel room that matched the description of a suspect and arrested 44-year-old Adam Cobian and his getaway driver, 42-year-old Heather Damato-Keshner, at the motel, police said.

According to police, Cobian and Damato-Keshner were arrested for:

• Attempting to rob the Speedway gas station located at 1901 N. Ocean Ave. in Medford at approximately 3:53 a.m. Tuesday
• Robbing the BP gas station located at 365 Route 25A in Miller Place at approximately 12:13 a.m. Wednesday
• Displaying a shotgun and attempting to rob the Sunoco gas station located at 318 Merrick Road in Amityville at approximately 4:40 a.m. Wednesday
• Displaying a shotgun and stealing cash and cigarettes from the 7-Eleven located at 251 Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst at approximately 5:10 a.m. Wednesday.

Cobian, of Ridge, was charged with two counts of first degree robbery, third degree robbery, first degree attempted robbery and criminal use of a firearm. He was charged with petty larceny for stealing cigarettes from the Gulf gas station located at 3775 Express Drive North in Islandia on April 28, police said.

Damato-Keshner, of Holbrook, was charged with two counts of first degree robbery, third degree robbery and first degree attempted robbery.

Cobian and Damato-Keshner are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Thursday.
