🌱 Holiday Spectacular Returns + 'Santa Claus' To Fly Into Town

Hello again, hello! I'm back with your fresh edition of the Sachem Daily. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about what's happening these days in town. Today you'll find these stories and more:

  • 'Santa Claus' to fly into Town of Brookhaven.
  • Town of Brookhaven's Holiday Spectacular returns to Holtsville Ecology site.
  • Five upcoming open houses in the Sachem area.

But first, today's weather:

Partly sunny; breezy, cooler. High: 47 low: 31.

Here are the top three stories today in Sachem:

  1. 'Santa Claus' to fly into Town of Brookhaven. The Christmas legend will helicopter into Brookhaven Town to help with the countdown for the annual tree lighting at the Holtsville Ecology Site on Dec. 2. The event will be free and have music, costumed characters, and free candy canes and hot chocolate. The lighting begins at 6 p.m. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Town of Brookhaven's Holiday Spectacular returns to Holtsville Ecology site. The indoor walk-through light show will kick off on Dec. 3 and will be open 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $10 per adult; $8 for seniors, veterans, and children under 12. Children three and under are free. (Sachem Patch)
  3. Check out five open houses in the Town of Brookhaven. As the real estate market becomes less of a seller's market, now is the perfect time to buy. You can click the link to see these homes that all have open houses within the next week. (Sachem Patch)

  • Sachem PTA Council: There will be a free workshop on Monday at 7 p.m. The Ethical Leadership workshop will be held in Conference Room C in the Sachem Library and start at 7 p.m. (Sachem PTA Council via Facebook)
  • Sachem SEPTA: On Saturday, the Sachem SEPTA Movie Series will be showing "Minions: The Rise of Gru." The showing will be at 8 p.m. and all children and students 21 and under are free. Adults over 21 will pay $3. Register in the link. (Sachem SEPTA via Facebook)
