HOLTSVILLE, NY - A 65-year-old Holtsville woman was killed in a fire at her home on Sunday afternoon.
The blaze broke out around 12:20 p.m. at the two-story home located at 21 Mary Lu Drive, police said.
The Holtsville Fire Department responded to scene and upon entry to the home, firefighters located 65-year-old Annette Larusso.

Larusso was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she died from her injuries sustained in the fire, police said. No other injuries were reported.
The Farmingville Fire Department also helped battle the blaze. Police did not say what may have sparked the fire and the investigation is continuing.
