- Supervisor Ed Romaine has announced the Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau will hold its annual Interface Coat Drive from Jan. 10 to Feb. 11. The coat drive will help residents in need stay warm this winter, and the drive is asking for new or gently used clean coats, scarves, hats, and gloves in infant to adult sizes. - The Suffolk County Government released new coronavirus data on Jan. 4. As of Monday, Jan. 3, 3,806 new cases were reported and 13,539 COVID-19 tests were administered. Walk-in vaccination clinics are offering COVID vaccines to Suffolk County residents who are age 5 and older as well as booster doses to all who are eligible. Appointments are recommended.
