Job Postings in Sachem, September 11

Part-time positions headline the job board this week. While that's not exactly great news, the amount of jobs found across the internet this week compared to last week did go up. Here's a look at some of the positions out there:

Office Assistant: Investment firm in Ronkonkoma looking for female office assistant. Part time work. Flexible schedule.

Field Support Rep: Red Box, the company with self-service kiosks for DVD rentals, has an opening for a field support representative to work in the Ronkonkoma area. This is a seasonal position. Responsibilities include collecting movies and keeping record of each kiosk. Excellent driving recorded required. Position some physical labor.

Cashier: Chinese restaurant in Holbrook needs part-time cashier. Hours of work are in the evening. Pay is $7 per hour. Own car requires to help with deliveries.

Customer Service Rep: Uhaul in Holbrook has a part-time opening for a customer service representative. Responsible for safe, accurate and efficient receiving and stocking of in bound freight. In person and on-the-phone customer service skills needed.

Administrative Assistant: Holtsville-based company looking for an animal-loving administrative assistant. This is a full-time, entry-level position. Recent graduate of business school desired, but not required. Pay starts between $10 and $12 per hour. Benefits offered.

Receiving/Stocking: Just outside of the Sachem area, Lowe’s in Medford has an opening for a receiving/stocking clerk. This is a full-time position. Professional manner and strong customer service skills desired.

Direct Care Counselor: This is a full-time position at Maryhaven in Holtsville. Work requires working shifts during the day and evening. Experience with developmentally disabled persons preferred.

Restaurant Help: It’s been a long time in the making, but D19, a new sports lounge is Ronkonkoma, will open its doors later this month. Before it does, the new restaurant is looking to add bartenders, bar backs, line cooks, dishwashers, busboys, servers prep staff and hosts. Energetic people wanted. Sports knowledge a plus.

Halloween Help: With summer officially behind us, Party City on Middle Country Road in Centereach is gearing up for Halloween. This is a part-time position and great for individuals with a flexible schedule. Apply in person at the store. 

Whole Foods Market: The folks at Whole Foods Market would like the Sachem community to know that on every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. the company’s Lake Grove location will be hosting a job hiring screening.
