Lake Ronkonkoma Woman Charged With 49 Counts Of Animal Cruelty
BREAKING: There were 47 cats, a turtle and a parrot living in deplorable conditions in her home, SPCA officials say.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – A 62-year-0ld Lake Ronkonkoma woman has been charged with 49 counts of animal cruelty "for failure to provide proper sustenance," according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Marilyn Brischler, of 90 Arlington Road, was arrested on Tuesday.
SPCA officials say there were 47 cats, a turtle and a parrot living in deplorable conditions at Brischler's home. Many of the animals were suffering from health issues.

The house was condemned by the Brookhaven Town fire marshal. The Brookhaven Animal Shelter assisted with removing the animals from the home.
Brischler will appear in First District Court in Central Islip on Aug. 22.
