Lockdown Lifted At Seneca Middle School After Threat Made To Police

BREAKING: Police deemed the building safe and determined that there was no credible threat.

Seneca Middle School in Holbrook was put on lockdown Friday morning "due to a threat made to the police," Sachem Superintendent Kenneth Graham said.

The lockdown went into place around 8:15 a.m.

"The police responded to the school immediately and deemed the building safe and determined that there was no credible threat," Graham said. "The lockdown has since been lifted and all students are safely in their classes."

Suffolk Police told Patch that an allegation was made that a student was bringing a weapon to school.

Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating the incident.
