During January, students across grade levels at Lynwood Avenue Elementary School in the Sachem Central School District read their book of the month, which was “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae.

As part of the schoolwide initiative, students read the book and focused on vocabulary and the character traits of fairness and caring throughout the book.
