🌱 Major Temperature Changes Ahead + Patch Block Talk: Tipping

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Hi all! I'm here right on time with your Sunday edition of the Sachem Daily, filled with all the things you need to know about what's going on in town. Including updates on...

  • Major cooldown ahead for your work week.
  • Patch Block Talk: tipping.
  • ICYMI: Long Island's Joe Scally makes 2022 World Cup roster

But first, today's weather:

Cooler; a few morning showers. High: 53 low: 35.

Here are the top three stories today in Sachem:

  1. Major cooldown ahead for your work week. Temperatures have been very warm for this time of year, but that all changes this week. Expect much cooler temperatures in the 40s all week, with rain forecast for Wednesday. Low temperatures will be right around freezing when you get up for work all week. Grab that winter jacket! (Weather.com)
  2. Patch Block Talk: tipping. Tipping is a standard in American culture, but many readers have mixed opinions on who and when you should tip. Check out some questions we asked readers and the variety of answers in the link. (Patch)
  3. ICYMI: Long Island's Joe Scally makes 2022 Men's Soccer World Cup roster. The 19-year-old Sachem North alumni is the youngest player on the roster. Scally was a once in a generation soccer player and will be bringing his talents to Qatar for the World Cup. "We are excited to take this group to compete in the 2022 FIFA World Cup," USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter said. "We believe we have a talented group, a strong team spirit, and one that is ready to compete. We are extremely proud and honored to represent the United States and appreciate all the amazing support from our fans as we head to Qatar." (Greater Long Island)
