Man Accidentally Shot In His Farmingville Home After Handing Teenager A Shotgun: Police
He faces a reckless endangerment charge, Suffolk police say.
FARMINGVILLE, NY — A Farmingville man was accidentally shot and seriously hurt by a teenager in his home, Suffolk police said.
Geonard Wade, 51, handed a shotgun to a 15-year-old family member at a home on Redwood Lane when the weapon accidentally discharged, shooting him in the arm at around 7:40 p.m., according to police.
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

The teen was not hurt and was released into the custody of family on scene, according to police.
The man was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, a felony, and will be arraigned on a later date.
