Man Fleeing Traffic Stop Crashes Into Tree, Escapes On Foot: Police
BREAKING: A police helicopter searched for the man Friday night near the LIE, but he not yet been found.
RONKONKOMA, NY – Suffolk Police are looking for a man who fled the scene of a crash Friday night in Ronkonkoma.
According to police, when an officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, the man crashed his car into a tree off Belle Avenue and Expressway Drive North at about 9:35 p.m.
The man then fled the scene on foot. A Suffolk Police helicopter helped search for the man Friday night, but as of early Saturday morning, he has not been located.
