Man Robbed, Thrown From Moving Car After Being Offered Ride Home From Suffolk County Bar

It happened early Friday morning, police say.

RONKONKOMA, NY - A man who accepted a ride home from three people at a Ronkonkoma bar was instead robbed and thrown from a moving car by the trio early Friday morning, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, three men offered the 27-year-old victim a ride home from JW's Pub, located at 729 Hawkins Avenue, around 3:30 a.m.

Once inside the vehicle, the victim, who is from Ronkonkoma, was punched in the face. The three assailants then stole the man's jewelry, wallet, cash, sneakers and a watch before throwing the victim out of the slow-moving vehicle, which was heading north on Hawkins Avenue at the time, police said.

The victim was transported by Ronkonkoma Rescue to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made as the Fourth Squad continues to investigate.
