🌱 Man Shot In His Backyard + Upcoming Open Houses In The Area

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Sachem.

(Patch Media)

Hello, neighbors! It's me, Andrew Tessler, your host of the Sachem Daily. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about what's happening around town, including updates on:

  • Man, fatally shot in backyard of his Bohemia home.
  • Five upcoming open houses.
  • Check out the Long Island Photo of the Day.

But first, today's weather:

Sunny and beautiful. High: 67 low: 48.

📢 I'm looking for business owners and marketers in Sachem who want to build awareness, connect with customers and increase sales.

I have a limited number of sponsorships available to introduce our Sachem Daily readers to local businesses they need to know about. If that's you, then I invite you to learn more and secure your spot now.

Here are the top three stories today in Sachem:

  1. As the real estate market cools down on Long Island, check out these five upcoming open houses. The homes range in price and by location throughout the Town of Brookhaven. You can click on the photo of the home for more information about the listing and open house. (Sachem Patch)
  2. Man, fatally shot in backyard of his Bohemia home. "Michael Hartmann, 49, was in the backyard of his Smithtown Avenue home when two people entered his yard and fired multiple shots, striking him once, at about 6:35 a.m., Suffolk County police said." He died at the scene and police said there was no immediate threat to the area and that the investigating is ongoing. (Patch)
  3. Check out the Long Island Photo of the Day. The photo was taken at Camaan's Pond in Merrick by Marsha Grossberg. If you want your photo to be featured, send your own photos to dan.hampton@patch.com. (Facebook)
